After what seemed like an eternity of scheming, saving, and planning, Sylvia and her husband, Andy, retired in 1996 from a private practice in psychology in the San Francisco Bay Area and have lived at Lakeside since 1999. Having had no community theater or any other kind of theater experience previously and only small roles in three LLT productions in the last couple of years, Sylvia is grateful for being given the chance to test her aging brain cells in the present play. She was first "turned on" to the idea of acting while participating in a psychodrama workshop as part of her training as a psychologist eons ago. Acting, like psychology, is all about the richness of human experience and in her experience there's nothing more interesting.
